Windy, windy, windy! So much rolly, polly up and down motion today I almost felt seasick. Coleen felt it too. We decided that when it’s this bad it’s better not to look out the window and see how much the boat is moving. Better to just try and stay focused on what you are doing. It was too windy/cold to make progress on my outside projects so we mostly stayed inside.
We grabbed a cab last night and went to dinner at a nearby mexican place with Goldie, Homer and Bob. It was fun listening to their stories. The good was good and it was great to get off the water for awhile. Bob had traveled from Pensacola in the Gulf - singlehanded - 19 hours in 5 -6 foot seas without an autopiltot. It went on the blink shortly after his departure. What was truly amazing about this to me is that it was his very first time sailing in the ocean! He said he couldn’t leave the wheel long enough to raise the sails so he motored the whole way. He’s working on his autopilot before he takes off again :-) And waiting for a better weather window this time too!
