We had a great day at Sun Harbor Marina even though it was cloudy and windy with occasional rain. I managed to give the Glass Slipper a good scrubbing as she was still sporting mud from our anchorge. Coleen helped for a while but then lost interest and sat on the dock looking for dolphins. We also did laundry - yeah to having clean dry towels! We met lots of new folks, including Mike, the nice young man living aboard a 27 foot Hunter next door to us. He offered to take us shopping when needed.
This marina is actually better than I thought on my first impression. They have great wi-fi, nice clean showers, laundry, cable tv, a restraunt/bar, a few shops, a swimming pool, a beautiful sunset, and very nice people. I think we are going to stay all week. We’re only about 5 miles from the entrance to the Gulf and I may be able to fit in a couple of day sails. There is also plenty of sailing here in the bay.
Our friend Goldie from Demopolis, came over today to show Coleen how to make jewelry. They had a wonderful time together and I got to go and have a nice long shower all by myself. I came back feeling like a girly girl and then snoozed in the cockpit for a late afternoon nap.
I spent a lot of time last time working on the picture album for the new website. My goal is to have it up and running by the end of the week.
