Made it to Daytona Beach

I sure didn't want to get out of my bunk and get moving again after the events of the previous day. I really just wanted to put the covers over my head and spend the day in bed.   I decided though, that I'd probably better get back in the saddle so to speak.  So we left the anchorage around 8 am before I had too much time to get in a tizzy.  I'll admit to being overly cautious the first few miles, especially when we got back to the place where we'd run aground.  I'll also admit that the spot where we'd run aground did look a bit too close to shore, and I'm not sure what I had been doing that far over.

We had an uneventful 20 mile journey to reach the anchorage at Seabreeze bridge, just a mile north of Daytona Beach.  I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning - which is always something that calms me when I've been stressed.  By evening the boat was definitely ship shape and I was feeling much better.

We plan to move on to the Halifax Harbour Marina for a couple of nights. It's only a mile away, but my budget did not want to pay for 3 nights dockage, hence we anchored here first.  My son Phillip is arriving tomorrow to spend the holidays with us. We'll spend a little time exploring Daytona Beach before heading down to Titusville where we plan to spend Christmas.
