Got the week off to a great start - in spite of a busy work day. Managed to get in about 1/2 hour of kayaking during a lunch break. As I was paddling around in a deserted little cove, I was thinking about all those lunch breaks I used to have when I worked in downtown Tulsa - walking somewhere for a quick sandwich.... this was way more fun!
After work we pile in the dinghy and took a ride to a place called Little Sisters Rock - which is just a small outcropping of coral with only a bit of vegetation. We had fun walking around looking in the little tidal pools for sea creatures, It was the most amazing view. Afterwards, we took a fast dinghy ride pounding on the waves, screaming and laughing, before ducking into some previously unexplored canals for a quiet evening ride. We didn't get back until almost 8 which meant a later dinner.

Dennis & Rose - It seems that Oologah is a place where cruisers are born! I've met two other boats from Oolagah since I've been out....Good luck with your plans to travel in your MacGregor 26...it sounds exciting. Regarding the no-seeums, we have yet to find netting that works! Mosquito coils do the job fairly well, but you have to wonder how good it is to breathe that all the time... we met an old timer who uses window curtain sheers in his companionway... it won't let in a breeze, but at least let's in light... and keeps the bugs out... we may try it...
