Next day I felt even worse and decided that perhaps a night on shore would help, so we got a room at the Rod and Gun Club. It was $140 night and the room was no better than a Motel 6... still it was on steady ground. Coleen enjoyed a whole evening of television, while I slept for hours.
The next morning we attended worship at the Community Church. Once again the place was packed to the rafters -which was good to see. We were invited to stay for a potluck lunch after the service. Coleen said it was the best meal we'd had since Thanksgiving :-) We spent the afternoon laying by the pool, although Coleen did brave a quick dip in the very cold water.
After another night at the marina, we walked about a mile to visit the Everglades National Park Visitors Center where we enjoyed the exhibits. Then it was back to the boat so we could head back to the anchorage and get ready for our next leg of the voyage.
