Woke up to another windy rolly polly day. At one point a huge wave came through and sent us practically flying. Thankfully we were both sitting down! I popped my head out to see what was going on - thought it was a tsunami. My neighbors had also popped out to look. We thought it was a perhaps wake from a big boat - but nothing was out there. Weird! I was feeling so uncomfortable I couldn’t even make lunch. So we gathered up our stuff and headed to the boaters lounge for the afternoon. It was a pleasant place to work and very quiet. There was even a computer for Coleen to use and she did a couple of her computer lessons and worked on her own blog. We ended up having granola bars from the ships store for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, Goldie took Coleen to the little beach area to play. They seemed to have a great time. I got Mike to take me to an ATM machine as I was desperate for cash - down to using the change cup! Thankfully by early evening things settled down a bit and I was able to make a nice dinner - polish sausage, cabbage and sweet potatoes. I had planned to grill it but the wind kept blowing it out. I finally gave up and finished it on the stove. It was still yummy. Mike loaned us the movie “Marley and Me”. We were both crying at the end and to make it worse our cat went missing. I searched the docks for him to no avail (well I didn’t look that hard). Coleen was beside herself with grief. I told her he would show up when he got hungry - as he’s not one to miss a meal. Sometime in the middle of the night he tapped on the window to come in. So all ended well I guess (I was secretly hoping he would not come back- as while watching the movie he came flying through the cabin a hundred miles an hour, bumped into me and spilled my glass of red wine all over me and everything else. I was pretty mad at him.
